At present I am hard at work planning a NYC event which should be of great interest to NY unionists. I am hoping to spread the word now to ask Labor activists who are part of an organization or independent political party to consider arranging for tabling. As this event has networking as an underlying message, I am hopeful that many groups would be interested in setting up tables to offer their brochures, books, video tapes, etc to our audience. Tabling will cost each organization just $10. Please contact me on this as soon as possible…
SOLIDARITY FOREVER! A EVENING OF INTERNATIONAL LABOR UNITY, A BENEFIT FOR NYC UNIONS’ SEPT. 11 FUNDS
Performers include Matt Jones (founder, SNCC Freedom Singers), Kirk Kelly (Business Rep, Local 802; Punk-Folk singer-songwriter), Amina Baraka (radical poet, journalist) and John Pietaro (Delegate, Local 1199 SEIU; Labor activist/musician).
Guest speakers include Michael Letwin (NYC Labor Against War) plus a variety of others TBA.

Admissin on a sliding scale: $5. – $10. (free to victims’ families, strikers, unemployed).
All profits to be donated to NYC CLC Sept 11 Relief Fund.
I hope members of this discussion group will consider tabling and I am hopeful that all will be present for a night of fundraising, performance, discussion and solidarity.
